No, this is just hail. Nothing special. Might happen any time. But not for three days in a row....

It was a first "official" snow in Reykjavik on Oct 5. And this is how Esja looks next morning «October 6, 2009»

Finally! After weeks of boring "kind-of-a-rain-and-wind" we've got real storm (gusts up to 150 km/h). Unfortunately the wind is blowing from east - so the waves here, in Reykjavik, are not that spectacular (when they throw head-size stones from the sea bank to the road ~ 30-50 m). But anyway something (unless you have to go outside). «Videy - Storm, October 9, 2009»Sometimes Videy island disappears behind white "fog" created by wind and waves. «Harbor - Storm, October 9, 2009» Reykjavik harbor. The wind was good enough to speed up waves even inside small harbor. On the back - 4 whale hunters. Two of them (with white satellite domes on the top) were hunting this summer. «Grotta, low tide» But Grotta is looking so peaceful on the photo! Because of low tide, sun (through the hole in the clouds) and a piece of blue sky on the back - just a perfect place to be (inside shaking car of course).
